How yoU Strengthen The Legacy Every Day

Peace beautiful soul,

I drafted this email for my other newsletter: Passionfruit Kisses: Inside My Purple Velvet Ropes.  That publication is my private space to share the more provocative ponderings I have with the folks that don’t mind a bit of pearl clutching.

But as I finished writing, I thought this could also be a very valuable topic to discuss with my peeps here in The Sanctuary.  So if you’re on both lists, my apologies for the repetition.  Sometimes if I find the content is more on the “tamer” side then I will share it across both platforms.

So without further ado here are my thoughts as shared from PFK:

My energy has been intensely focused on the concept of the Divine HUSTLE lately. We see the polished results on Instagram, but the real werk*—the one that requires Power and Self-Trust—is messy, chaotic, and beautiful. It demands that we show up, even when we feel drained.

But when I talk about HUSTLE I’m not talking about the hyperproductive, burnout culture that far too often gets negatively associated with the word. Someone once explained to me that HUSTLE to them means How yo(U) Strengthen The Legacy Everyday. So that for me is how I embrace and embody the Divine HUSTLE. The S for me also doubles to mean Sustain.

So, what can I do everyday that ensures I’m aligned in my purpose and contributing to an impact that will lead to future generational blessings?

That is how I HUSTLE divinely!

And that effort looks different daily. Some days it’s making sure my well-being is prioritized. Some days it’s focusing more on the “hard” work (both internal and external) to later reap my desired harvests. However, I get to decide what showing up looks like for me.

So when I say the HUSTLE demands that we show up even when drained, it’s not to endorse pushing yourself beyond your limits, but rather showing up FOR yourself even when it’s uncomfortable or you don’t necessarily want to.

Like for example, I have a new daily mantra where I compel myself to “get on the mat,” no matter what, to get into the habit of stretching, doing some kind of yoga and completing my plank exercise every day. The act of unrolling my yoga mat and standing on it now signals to me: this is your grounding time; this is your space to move through and release whatever you’re holding onto, so: “get on the mat and leave it all on the mat.” It is also a way for me to ensure I spend some time (even if it’s just a few minutes) tending to my physical health.

And liiiisten sometimes the LAST thing I want to do is anybody’s yoga pose or plank. So sometimes when I first wake up, and I’m not in the mood, I allow myself a little time to dilly dally. I scroll on my phone or do my language studies, or sometimes just bs for a bit.

But because it’s my bare minimum agreement with myself, at some point during the day, I KNOW I’m going to get my butt on that mat no matter how I’m feeling or how I woke up because I know that the practice is great FOR me and once I do it, I immediately feel more centered and restored. So that is one way I show up for myself even when it’s a little difficult. This practice is part of my Divine HUSTLE.

This is all part of the work I'm doing to bring the Peace, Power, and Pleasure (P3) framework to life.

So tell me, what's inspiring your Divine HUSTLE right now. What measures are you taking to Strengthen or Sustain Your Legacy Everyday? No measure is too small, imo because as a friend once told me: “small is all.”

So, hit reply and let me know your thoughts!

As always…May you thrive in absolute Peace, Power & Pleasure.

Love,

Jasmin 😘💜
